| Fairways Club 2019 Pool works |

Remember that the Fairways complex will be closed as a result of the works to the swimming pool and La Isla bridge during the whole of the month of May 2019. The work will include a new pool basin including sloped access allowing wheelchair access, new filtration and an independent separation of the children’s pool.

| Fun with Oscar |
| |

Oscar has added Spanish lessons to his repertoire, and they are proving very popular although they will only run through the winter months. This remains a quieter period of the year, with considerably less pool activities, but there are still plenty of things to do with Pool, Table Tennis and Darts competitions. We also have Aqua Gym activities, stretching exercises and of course the bingo competition. |

| Off the beaten track - Barranco del Infierno |

The Barranco del Infierno translates to The Ravine from Hell but it is in fact a hike of low to medium difficulty. Access is restricted to 300 people per day as part of a successful initiative to preserve the area. Places must be booked online, and there is also a small fee at the entrance to the walk. The walk winds through the ravine and the prize at the end of the ravine is a close-up view of the waterfall. As you can see from the photograph, we are not talking the Niagara Falls, but nevertheless the walk is very rewarding, and takes an average three hours in total to complete. There are plenty of trained stewards along the walk, making the hike a safe one.
The Barranco is situated in Adeje, just a short drive from Fairways, and the entrance to the walk is situated right at the top of the town next to the Otelo restaurant that is equally famous for its Adeje spicy chicken.
It certainly makes for a great day out with a meal to match afterwards.

Santa Cruz Carnival 2019 |

| |
The Santa Cruz Carnival that is the second largest in the world after Rio de Janeiro will be with us shortly.
It will run through to the 10th March, and the theme will be “The Deep Sea”.
There will be numerous qualification competitions running through the month of February, with The Grand Opening Parade being held on the 1st March.
The main Carnival Queen contest will be on the 27th February, and the festival will hit the streets on the 1st March. There will be a Daytime Carnival on both the 3rd and 9th of March whilst the Closing Parade will be held on the 5th March. The proceedings will round off with a firework display on the 10th March.

| Restaurante La Mesa is Entering the New Year in Style! |

La Mesa is happy to introduce the updated 'À la carte' menu, which after listening to customer feedback, now includes more delicious dishes for everyone to enjoy. We have also cleaned up the design to make it clearer and easier to read, drop in soon and see what´s new!
With February fast approaching there is only one thing on everyone's mind, Valentine's Day, of which La Mesa will be hosting a special evening for all the loved-up couples of Fairways. More information will be provided on Facebook and the restaurant website in the coming weeks, however if you need to know right away, please feel free to get in contact.
