Letter from the Manager
Dear members and frequent visitors,

It has been a long gap without any newsletters since February 2020, only just before the beginning of the big P. At Pueblo Evita during all this time the staff have stayed busy (very busy at times!) keeping the Resort and apartments maintained to the best of their ability, these have been hard times for everyone, there is no doubt about it. We will hold in our hearts the fond memories of the ones that are no longer with us and embrace what the future holds for us with hope of better days to come. These times have taught us that we must enjoy life to the fullest. I would like to dedicate this issue of the newsletter to our beloved Málaga and everything it has to offer to us locals and yourselves as visitors.

A lot has been done in the complex, especially in the apartments during these past 2 and a half years. Where to begin, Wi-Fi, we are now proud to offer Wi-Fi, free of charge in all our apartments for our guests, as we have recently installed a router in each one of our units. Please ask at reception for more details while staying with us next time. Television has also been improved as we have now gone digital and offer a wider variety of channels.

We are in the process of doing some updates to the apartments such as new curtains and blinds, this is a work in progress as we started this year at the beginning of the season, and work is still ongoing. We have added some new decorations, “decoraciones marineras” as we would call them in Spain, some new bedspreads and matching bright cushion covers plus we are gradually painting all our units white. We are now fully air conditioned and are in the process of installing timers in an effort to save energy resources, there is no planet B, I might add, as well as keeping electric costs down as low as possible, it is also our intention to install electric meters in all the apartments.

Please find a selection of pictures on the next page showing some of the improvements made to the apartments and complex.
If you are planning to stay with us in the near future, please remember that we are here to help you, if you need anything during your stay please call in at reception and we shall do our very best for you. If you are not planning a visit soon please have a look at what we have prepared for you, you may feel motivated…

Take care and see you soon,

18 Oct 2022 - 30 Dec 2022
Danza Málaga 2022
Malaga continues with its varied cultural offer and presents us during the months of October, November and December a cycle of dance shows called 'Danza Malaga' that will conquer us for the quality of its programming. There will be 31 performances of 17 shows. One of them is a gala of the Kiev Ballet that will raise money for UNICEF; we will also be able to enjoy performances by Sara Baras, the Spanish National Ballet, Manuel Nogales, Raúl Duran and Marina Perea, among others. The Cervantes and Echegaray theatres will be the venue for this cycle; check the full programme and don't miss the opportunity to enjoy live art.

Our staff

Last but not least, this is a reminder of the wonderful and hard-working staff that we are lucky to have at Pueblo Evita, our team has shrunk and continues to do so with retirements and sometimes it is a question of life changes, and as it is commonly said, “change is good”.

We would like to give a big thank you for their years of service to the following members of staff who have retired in the past 3 years:

Ana (Anichi) 03/2022, Manoli 12/2022, Carmen 07/2021, Rosi 06/2020 and Charo 03/2021 who are now enjoying their time to the fullest, especially our dear Carmen from Reception.
We wish you a wonderful, healthy, and very happy retirement to all. 😊

Christmas 2022, Malaga
Malaga Christmas lights switch on
One of the best lighting displays on the Costa del Sol. Every year Malaga switches on over 4,000,000 lights on the Calle Marques de Larios and surrounding area. The switch on is on the last Friday of November each year. The street is packed with people waiting for this light and sound extravaganza that marks the start of the Christmas period. The lights cover the whole length of the street and continue into the Plaza de la Constitucion. In the plaza there is an 18 metre metal christmas tree. The turning on of the lights can vary from year to year but the switch off is always on the 06th January. This year the lights will start a day later than usual times from 6:30 till midnight. 2022 switch on 26th November 2022
